MIT Sloan has licensed a limited number of Bloomberg terminals for Sloan faculty, students, and staff in the Masters in Finance program and related areas.  To access Bloomberg Terminals, you will need two accounts:

  • MIT kerberos account
  • Bloomberg Account

After logging in to the physical Bloomberg Terminal using your kerberos, you can request a Bloomberg Account if you don’t already have one.

Non-Sloan MIT students, staff and faculty will need a Sloan faculty member to send an email to stshelp@mit.edu explaining the affiliate’s research objectives and expected duration of use.  Due to limited number of Bloomberg licenses, priority is given to Sloan students who need to use this service for their coursework.

Sloan's Bloomberg subscription does not include access to Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF).

Bloomberg terminal locations:

  • 6 terminals E51-210 (MBA student study lounge)
  • 1 terminal E51-246 (MFin student lounge. Mfin use only)
  • 1 terminal E62-117 (Undergrad student lounge, Undergrad use only)
  • 1 terminal E62-629 (EF&A and PhD use only)

There is a Help key on the keyboard, and Bloomberg phone support is available at 212-318-2000. MIT Libraries cannot provide assistance with accessing or using Bloomberg. Contact MIT Sloan Technology Services at 617-253-2000 or e-mail stshelp@mit.edu if you have further questions about access.
